Getting Started In Counseling

Counseling has the potential to benefit you mentally, physically, and emotionally. Sometimes getting started is the most challenging part. A free 15-minute consultation is a great way to learn more about counseling and answer any questions you may have.

Free 15-Minute Consultation

A free 15-minute consultation is geared towards us learning more about one another. You can share what is bringing you to therapy, and I can share information about my availability, skills, and counseling perspective. There is no obligation to continue from here. We can schedule a first session time and date if you would like. I have counseling appointments available during the days, evenings, and weekends.

First Session

Typically, during the first session, we will talk about your intake paperwork. There is nothing that you are required to share. This paperwork has spots for you to share your strengths, experiences, and goals, if you would like. I’m here to listen, understand, and empower you – and help you do the same for yourself.

Subsequent Sessions

There is no magic formula for how future sessions go. Everyone goes to counseling for different things. Subsequent sessions allow us an opportunity to learn and explore, and we can develop goals, coping strategies, and a better understanding of the challenges you may be experiencing.
